Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation yield the fruits of its hard work and labor as it emerged as one of the seven universities in Region I to be awarded the title of ICONS or Internationalization Champions of Nations Building and Sustainability Awards on October 6, 2023 at the Philippine International Convention Center, organized by the Commission on Higher Education.

The ICONS Award recognizes outstanding higher education institutions (HEIs) that exemplified and made their way to the top in global reputation of Philippine Higher Education through their exceptional performance in international affairs and its contributions in ASEAN’s regional prosperity.

The university’s unwavering commitment to its international affairs evident through embracing different nationalities as its students were one of the factors that secured them the spot for the award. Furthermore, VMUF is also active when it comes to its social, economic and environmental programs by conducting community outreach that aims to help those people in areas that need counselling and medical attention.

Furthermore, the university maintains its vision to strive for excellence in the field of instruction, research, training and extension service. It transforms students to be skilled and proactive in different areas and promotes cultural and religious diversity which are all guided by its top rank management with Dr. Ma. Lilia P. Juan VMUF President at the forefront. She stated that “This award is dedicated to our Founders Dr. Martin P. Posadas and Dr. Rosalina Q. Posadas”.
